Major Taylor – The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World [2010, new hardback edition published by Cycle Publishing/Van der Plas Publications. 208 pages, price $39.95.] This is an updated edition, with many new illustrations, in a larger format. King of the Road – An Illustrated History Cycling [1975, large format, paperback edition, published by Wildwood House, London and Ten Speed Press, Berkeley.] My first cycling history book – is long since out of print, but it is usually easy to find a copy on eBay, or on the ABEBooks website, for about $20.
